Access Point Linguistic Assessments

CulturaLink’s Access Point Linguistic Assessment (APLA) is a process designed to help your organization understand barriers that might exist when Limited English Proficient (LEP) customers attempt to access your services.

Through APLA we identify barriers experienced the whole LEP (Limited English Proficient) customer’s experience; before, during, and after each encounter or point of contact with your organization.

In order to effectively address cultural and language barriers, it is important to understand how each interdependent part of the organization affects the others and focus on building response capacity within each one. It is also important to examine communication needs of LEP customers across the services rendered or purchase flow.

Results are given to the client with recommendations on how to create a culturally and linguistically accessible program to ensure appropriateness of language services and support to LEP customers.
